My mom and I stumbled upon this trail when we were leaving the Appleumpkin festival a few years back, it has become one of my favorite local hiking spots when I am in the mood for a short, hilly, and idyllic hike.

This trail follows the River Raisin, as you walk, you are almost guaranteed to see white tail deer and other wildlife.

As you approach the trailhead on the left hand side there is a kayak launching area. If you are unable to bring your own kayak and you want to check out the trail from the river side, I highly recommend renting from Tecumseh Paddling Company. They are located off of E Logan St as you turn right out of the Trailhead parking lot.

Another great thing about this trail is it's proximity to Tecumseh Brewing Company, who in my opinion have some of the best sour beers and food around. They are alway switching their food and drink list around and truly offer something for everyones pallet.
