This trail is marked very well and is excellent for beginners seeking more intense hiking adventures. Along the trail you will see lakes, marshes, steep hills with dense forests, sandy forest floors with gorgeous evergreens, and some pretty cool man-built stick teepees. I love the view from the overlook and the babbling creeks below. Follow the trail markers in this order: 1 > 2 > 9 > 8 > 3 > 2 to ensure you don't take a wrong turn.
With any hike, I recommend dropping a pin at your parking location and snapping a picture of the trail overview either online or when you arrive at the trail head.
Because this trail may intersect State Land open to hunting, you should consider dressing in orange.
